This works great at a fraction of the price of the brand name! This is the second one I ordered and would order again. As the filter gets dirty your purifier will get louder. The price is so great that I change mine a little early.Read full review

Great Quality, Heavy Duty
The quality of this filter is excellent, it has a plastic frame and the pre-filters are heavy duty, thick material as well. If you want an "original type" replacement, this is the way to go. However, I will go with a cheaper cardboard framed one next time. I don't think the frame makes a difference with the filter.Read full review

For a generic brand, these filters are sturdy and very well made. They look like the manufacture's parts, fit well with no gaps, and are not folded in half for shipping purposes. What a deal!
I see absolutely no difference between this Crucial Air filter and the original OEM Whirlpool filter. They look identical to me.
That said, perhaps, on a microscopic level they may differ, but there is no way of telling.
The performance is certainly the same. The air in the room is definitely being filtered. I changed the charcoal pre-filter at the same time.Read full review
