You get what you pay for!
I was wondering if buying a 256 G USB for a cheap price was a good idea. I was wondering why this item was so cheap! After receiving the USB I read the information on the packaging which told me why they were so cheap! This USB is an older versions made for windows XP, ME, ect, all the versions were obsolete! I contacted the seller because I didn't want to open the pack because my operating system is windows 10. He was prompt getting back with me and said don't worry they will work. So I opened the pack and tried to use the USB, and found out it would work sometimes. I had a hard time retrieving my data. I tried formatting the USB and it acted the same. I learned an important lesson and that was if the price is really low beware! Don't believe when the seller says compatible with windows that it will be compatible your version. Make sure they specify what version or you will be disappointed!Read full review

SCAM: Fake thumb drive. Your data goes in, but never comes out.
It's a fake USB drive ("Thumbo drive"). Fake USB drives are very common, and HAVE NO BENEFIT. This one is sold as 256GB, and reports 256GB, but only contains 16GB of flash RAM. Windows (or Linux, Mac, etc.) thinks it has 256GB, so Windows lets you save files to it -- but once you have saved 16GB of data, the rest is silently dropped (the drive is hacked to not report any errors). When you go to retrieve the files, you can access files that were among the first 16GB stored, but nothing after that.
Worse, many people think these drives just "went bad." No. These drives were created with one sole purpose: to trick you into thinking you got a good drive long enough for them to get away with it. If you get a fake USB drive, you need to get a refund and leave negative feedback for the seller. If you don't, the sellers will just keep the scam going. Remember, these drives have NO BENEFIT (except to the people that made them, and the seller). What can you do with a drive that doesn't save data?Read full review

Flash drive 245 GB swivel memory stick very low velocity
Writing data performance in it is very slow, nearly 1.0 to 1.5 MBS/sec, older one of 8 GB is nearly ten times more faster with the same data.

Be careful
The flash drive doesn't always work properly. I copied a large amount of files in order to transfer from one computer to another. The copy from PC 1 to the flash drive looked like it worked fine. I plugged in to PC 2 and the folder was there but it was empty. Took flash drive back to PC 1 and same thing. Since I did a Move and not a Copy, all my files were lost. Be careful.Read full review

Trash
These things are trash. I got 3 and was able to load up only 1 (after working with it for a long time). Must be cheap electronics on it. I really can't depend on the 1 working long term. I am an IT person. I tried multiple tools on multiple platforms to get these to format and retain data.Read full review
