Great sharpening stones
I recommend these sharpening stones, they're quite heavy, thick and feel like they'd last a while. The coarse stone is very coarse and would more likely be use to re shape a blade. The stones feel about 240 400 and 600-800. But using with a strop easily sharpens a blade to shaving sharpRead full review

Good for the price
I have used the stones only once so far and quickly managed to get a blunt chisel reasonably sharp. I found the extra fine stone to be still a little coarse for finishing, a 1000+ grit would be better. I don't know how durable the stones will be. I suspect they will be OK for the little I will use them. Certainly good for the price when compared to the cost of top quality professional use stones.Read full review

Worth the money.
Tried a few knifes on them and I must say they have done an excellant job, they now cut a piece of paper with ease, they are quick and easy to use with just light strokes and not too many, plenty of water to wash away material, highly recommended.Read full review

Does The Job Well
I've never used anything like these sharpening 'stones' (I'd call them plates) before.
With just a few hints from YouTube about how to use them I've successfully honed a new wood chisel to razor sharpness and resurrected a favourite kitchen knife to something like its original sharpness.
The latter, in particular, I'd almost given up trying to get a good edge using a traditional butcher's steel.I thought the hardened edge had simply been worn down completely but it had not.
That is a point to mention: if that has happened to a knife or other blade even these sharpening 'stones' won't be able to restore a decent cutting edge. Read full review

Good at the start
The diamond abrasive particles were good at the start but after only sharpening 3 knives using progressively finer grades most of the surface has gone. So it's just like rubbing steel on steel. Back to my India oil stone.Read full review

It's okay, but would be a lot better if it was larger.
The sharpening stone works as it should, but for me they need to be larger, okay for small tools, but a smoothing plane blade is a no go, on this size of stone.
