Fine, if unspectacular, on par with rivals. Whinges if you look at it funny.

This was used for a renewal. Installation was straight-forward, thanks to instructions from the vendor, but the AVG website required repeated log-ins to my existing account to get going on the first device. Worked just fine and very quickly after that with my other equipment.

Tune-Up has been disappointing, as a number of useful features on the latest Windows version have been removed, notably the duplicate file search. While not always accurate, it was helpful when shifting work-in-progress files between laptops and desktop PCs, where duplication was likely. Once I discovered the loss, I didn't update Tune-up on one machine in order to retain this feature.

AVG overall remains more naggy than Harry Mudd's wife (one for the Trekkers, there). Like most software houses, they seem to harbour the belief that my equipment belongs to them, sucking up resources while crying "Update me! Update me now! Don't do that! Don't do that either! Put the AutoUpdate back on - I feed when I want to, whether you like it or not! You'll be sorry you did that... I'll make your life a misery... and by the way, buy this VPN from us as well..." etc. etc. AVG gives me more cause to tinker with diverse PC and software settings than any other application own. They tend to bury quite a few tweaks outside of the main menu, so you have to hunt for some, and I have to fiddle with services.msc more often than one should. These are my devices, AVG, and I'm not a six year old. Live with it.

The trouble is, the others are not much different. I've used a variety of AV products over the decades, and (at time of writing) I've found AVG is the best package for the least money with its 2-year contract, providing you don't renew with them directly when your sub expires. Dead easy

Followed sent instructions to go to AVG page and entered code provided. Logged in to my existing AVG account as instructed and it had updated to another 2 years. No need to reinstall from download as already up to date. PC still says it will expire tomorrow but assume that will get rectified when it catches up with my online account.Read full review

Straight Forward

So easy just follow the instructions and put in the codes and you are away. As I have had AVG before they said log in and it was away with extras for the upgrade. It also started from when my old one finished so no loss updating early. Besides this the price was right and I should be good for another 2 years peace of mind. Good product but very difficult installation. Some features still not installed.

The supplied online license did not work and my purchase still isn't showing in my AVG account. After considerable trouble I was referred to AVG -Go who installed it remotely from Manilla. This took over 3 hours and cost £160.00. They had to uninstall Kaspersky and Malware Bytes. At the end of this all I have is the basic tune-up package which works as it should but with no extras. Protecion Software With ADHD !

It works ok but constant updates and constant in your face noise from AVG announcing all the time what they are doing with interruptions from their pop-ups when you are doind something else & don`t want to be interrupted !

What one wants from a protecting software is to quietly work in the background keeping you safe without wanting constant attention with silly announcemnet of what they are doing fo you - its what I pay them to do, so get-on with it !
