A very "smart," easy to use flash for the Canon T70 and similar cameras.

This flash is quite neat - in "program" mode it sends out a quick infra-red flash when you push the shutter button down half way (on the Canon T70 and similar Canon cameras). This flash determines the subject distance and reflectivity, so the flash automatically sets the f-stop appropriate for the subject and distance. On the T70 this determined f-stop shows up in the viewfinder, as well as being illuminated on the flash back plate, and the flash sends the f-stop chosen to the camera so the lens is automatically adjusted to the proper setting. Alternatively, in "F no. set" mode, the user can choose what f-stop to use (by cycling through your choice F2.8 to F22 with a push button) and then the flash automatically adjusts the flash exposure to suite that f-stop (with the T70 this f-stop is automatically set by the camera on the lens when in program mode, based on a signal from the flash). This mode allows you to choose your depth of field, or to have a fast recycle time (by choosing a large aperture). Flash works well, is compact (for it's power rating), easy to use. Covers up to 35mm lens angle, and a snap on diffuser allows coverage for 28mm lenses.Read full review
