I've been really impressed with the Harmony remotes. Basic design looks like a normal remote, but the programming is easy and it is highly customizable (real word?). We have a mix of technical skills in my house and they wanted just something they could point and push 1 button like "watch TV" and all the inputs and all the settings of the TV, surround sound, etc. would be taken care of. Also if anything goes wrong, press "help" and the remote resends all those settings again and asks if it worked. As a tech guy, I can also customize what each button does, put my favorite options where I want them. Does't get better.Read full review

About what I expected

This remote takes some time to get used to once it has been programmed. Easy to program on line and after that just take a few minutes to get used to what buttons do what. Back buttons and some others don't respond like my remotes so I have to play around to find the best way to do something. Once that was done it works pretty well.Read full review

The previous Harmony remotes I've purchased showed w/ease the channels I had designated as favorites.
