Awesome value. Exactly what I needed.

I bought this for my Ares Amoeba AM-013 airsoft gun (Honey Badger), thinking for the price it'd take a month to arrive & it didn't have to be great quality, cause it was only for airsoft. I was very wrong. It came fast & feels great. I'll now be ordering one for my AR-15 setup as well. Fits perfect & snug on a picatinny rail. You'll want 6-7" of space for the whole grip. Fake Merchandise

This is a nicely manufactured COPY of the MAGPUL AFG2. While the description states that it is not genuine MAGPUL, the auction listing uses the MAGPUL name and the name of the product, AFG2. While the manufacturing quality is good, it is not the real thing. The fastener used to secure the grip to a rail uses a slotted (cheaper) head rather than a hex-socketed head like the original.

On one hand, this is an excellent value for the money, an indication of what genuine MAGPUL products could cost. On the other hand, the missing piece is the hours of research and development, and advertising and marketing, that MAGPUL has sunk into a genuine product.

Bottom Line: a good cheap copy of the genuine article.Read full review

Great on my AR, not for a shotgun at all!!

I originally bought it for my Shockwave but the recoil is way to strong even when tightened to the max.

Works fine on my AR but I prefer the folding pistol grip on my for-end.

Careful not to overtighten screws

When I changed out the finger groove to the flat plate the screws seem to keep turning. The big rail screw seems to be tight to the rail and when its back together it looks okay. I may use superglue since I doubt I'll ever open it back up again. But, I haven't been to the range yet. I just had to stop turning. I couldn't tell if they were really as tight as they should be or were stripping out. I'm not worried about it coming off the rail but it may kind of split instead of looking solid.Read full review

Lightweight, minimalist foregrip enhancement

This AFG 2 functions like the others I gave purchased. It allows you to pull back on the AR for a more positive shoulder to firearm meld. Don't pul back with your fingers. That doesn't feel right for me. Push back with the ball of your hand while wrapping your fingers around the hand guard or forend. This grip was finished differently than previous Magpul products I have used. It has a smooth shiny surface rather than the rough or stippled surface of other magpul products. However the function and dimensions of this AFG2 were identical to others I gave purchased for other ARs or Carbines.Read full review
