My Honda Civic would not let me unlock it without sounding the alarm It turns out the battery in the key fob was original and has been in the key for about 10 years. So, the battery went flat. After a quick Google I found this. ordered it. The battery arrive a day or so later. 10 mins after opening I had a fully functional key again.
