Russell Hobbs Quiet Boil Kettle

The kettle is indeed much quieter in bringing the water to the boil, perhaps half or a third as loud as our previous kettle. It's has a3kW element so it boils quickly, the lid pops up easily for filling, and there is a blue light at the base when the kettle is switched on.
The only minor niggle for me is that the water level indicator isn't very clear, but that is in comparison with our old and more brash kettle that lit up the water inside the kettle so the water indicator was back-lit !Read full review

A truly 5 star kettle.

Previously we had an earlier model of this kettle which was very good but had a few minor points that needed improving and we said so in a product review at the time. We're delighted to report that the new model has incorporated all and more of these improvements.
The blue light showing beneath the kettle makes it very easy to see when it's switched on, there are two easy to view visual levels (one on either side), the spout is wider for easier and faster pouring and it incorporates new technology that makes the process of boiling surprisingly quiet. Amazing

Quick and quiet. Just hoping that lasts!

Boils quickly and is so much quieter than my old kettle. Just hoping that lasts as had one before and it gradually got louder. Plus the lid mechanism stopped working. Fast boiling and almost SILENT kettle

Hooray - I can now hold a conversation while the kettle is boiling! The quiet boil technology really works, keep thinking I forgot to turn it on it's so quiet.
It not only has a window to show how much water is in it, there's also 3 little paddles on the inside to show 1, 2 or 3 cups so you can boil exactly what you need.
It is a little heavier than my previous kettle but well balanced.
I've had it about 2 weeks now and there's no sign of limescale.
