Works for us!!
A must for everyone. Lots of advice and tips on living a healthy lifestyle - much more than a diet plan. Written by Dr Aseem Malhotra (cardiologist) and Donal O’Neal (former athlete) this gem of a book contains many useful recipes for healthy eating options with most ingredients available from your local supermarket. It’s a learning curve but well worth the effort - weight loss, increased energy levels and much improved positivity. This book is a must for anyone who has looked at their lifestyle and not liked what they see. Thank you authors!!Read full review

Rubbish
I wonder who in the whole of Italy eats cauliflower steaks, coconut pancakes, endless eggs, curries - (I could go on) let alone the small village the book is named after. Perhaps the author thought he should make the food more exciting. But I doubt many of the residents of Pioppi cook with these ingredients - Korean stir fried pork belly with broccoli kimchi rice and chocolate coconut porridge with poached cherries?
It’s a shame as I would love a book full of the simpler food that the people of Pioppi actually do eat.Read full review

Thought provoking.
This book turns on its head everything you ever believed about consuming fat and that it is harmful. Fat, as in the Mediterranean diet keeps you feeling full for longer. Well worth the read from a cardiologist who believes the real demon is sugar and junk food.Read full review

Healthy diet finally makes sense
This book is the product of much research and in particular the lifestyle, as well as diet, of people of Pioppi in Italy. It explains the importance of the omega 3s to 6s ratio, and how generally we consume too many omega 6s causing an imbalance which can lead to health problems. It would seem that generally speaking the UK population has been poisoning itself since the food pyramid of the 1970s which promoted carbs and omega 6 fat. Didn't we all feed our children Flora?
I believe reading this book should be compulsoryRead full review

A must read lifestyle book.
I would 100% recommend trying this 21 day plan as a start towards a healthier lifestyle.
Becoming more active and eating better has made me feel so much healthier.
I have been leading a real food diet for nearly 2 years and would never go back to highly processed food, in particular carbs.
Give it a try, what have you got to lose!Read full review
