Good hardware quality; software needs work
I have two of these and installation was fairly straightforward using the installation booklet and the YouTube video. Setting up tags for one was easy, less so for the second, which may be due to the Conexis app. which has known bugs. I've linked mine to a smart alarm using the modules, and this works well with notifications. Build quality of the lock is high. I suggest Yale need to invest more in the App.Read full review

Good lock let down by app and delicate internal connections.
At first sight this lock is very impressive and easy to fit. It initially worked well until I wanted to delete a key fob. That's when everything went to pot. This is due to the app software which really lets it down and to the internal connection between internal and external backplates which is very flimsy. Be aware that in the app "key" means "lock". Therefore if you try to delete a key thinking you are deleting a card, fob or mobile key, you're not. You're deleting the lock itself and your mobile app and the lock will then not recognise each other. And you can't just re-add the lock as first advised by Yale helpline (though to be fair the helpline was very responsive ). On contacting them a second time a second agent confirmed it would need a factory reset which involves removing the inner backplate and disconnecting the flimsy connection. I had trouble removing the connection and must have damaged it somehow, though how is not visible. Now deadlock does not work, the tamper alarm keeps going off and batteries get red hot, so probably a short somewhere. I'll wait a year or so to see if the design and app improve before trying one of these again.Read full review

A good reliable lock
Easy to fit. Works well for most parts. There is a bug that won't let me add any keys or tags, but I can connect smartphones to it fine. Initially a bit anxious to leave the house with only my phone to unlock it but so far it has been very reliable. Particularly so with the z wave module and smart things integration. Unreliable lock
Was a bit of a fiddle to get phones paired, but it seemed like a good solid piece of equipment. However, we’ve found it can take quite a while to recognise you’re trying to open it and sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts before it will lock (when you lift the handle). It has now randomly started putting itself into the installer mode (with the purple light) which would allow someone else to add themselves to our users! We’ve had it for 2 weeks and have decided it’s not safe to keep persevering and are going to go back to a basic lock again. A total waste of time and moneyRead full review

Great let, poor app
The lock itself is excellent only to be let down by an inferior app! I am still unable to pair my phone with the app! Yale says it’s down to poor internet!! I believe it’s down to a very poor app!

Yale Conexis door lock
Absolutely brilliant product and fitting is remarkably straight forward, if your door is compatible. The measurement from your door handle to key insert needs to be around 90mm. If it’s not this size then the handle won’t fit. This happened to me and I reluctantly returned the item instead of forking out to get my door reconfigured.

Pretty good but some flaws
Good overall but let down by a poor app and the inside lock opening knob which is hard to turn and difficult to grip. Real shame they deleted the keypad from the 1st generation keyfree lock.

Great secure sturdy door lock
I don’t understand why people say this is so difficult to install!! My daughters partner and I decided to try fit it ourselves as the instructions seemed pretty straight forward. There were only 2 steps we had google a video to show us.
Once installed set up on the app was straight forward, adding key fobs a little trickier, sending shared keys to family and cleaners and dog walker etc, no problem. My only advice when setting up the fobs or activating a shared key on the app is follow the instructions on the app. Wait to be told what to do by the app and everything runs smoothly. There’s no turning of the phone to unlock as soon as you wake the door lock it will open. Locking is great, just lift the handle and go! No more fumbling around in the dark for a key hole!! Being able to check the door is locked via the app and lock it once you’re in bed is a real bonus for those who have older children who don’t bother to lock up behind them!Read full review
