Increased visibility with automatically translated listings

What is this about?

To improve international sale activities, we have enabled an automated process that translates your listings and places them directly on our international sites. This takes the hassle out of translating and localising your listings when you list your products internationally.

If you are selected to take part in this process, we will notify you. The maximum number of listings that will be translated depends on your eBay Shop level.

There are no additional costs for you and your listings will only be translated in markets where sellers already offer international shipping. This means your listings will be translated and listed automatically on eBay sites where you already enable international shipping to. You don’t need to worry about us enabling listings in markets you don’t ship to. This service is carried out by eBay and enabled by WebInterpret, a third party company supporting the localisation of listings.

Benefits for sellers

  • By listing directly on international eBay sites, you can help increase the visibility of your listings, compared to simply offering international postage for items listed on domestic sites.

  • You don’t have to worry about translating any element of your listings. When we translate your listings, this will include the title, item specifics, item description and currency.

  • You will only pay final value fees when you make a sale. When your item sells, you'll pay the final value fee on the site where the item was sold.

  • It’s entirely your decision where you ship to. Listings will be only translated and listed on eBay sites where you enable international shipping to. Your listings will be listed only to UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, AU sites.

You can decide at any time to stop the translation of your listings. If you decide you no longer want to take advantage of this opportunity, just click here to deactivate the process.

How it works

Before the automated translation of your listings starts, you will receive a notification with detailed information.

We will select your listings that have sales potential in international markets and translate up to 50% of these listings - capped at the number of listings based on your shop subscription below:

  • No Shop: max. 250 listings per international eBay site every month

  • Basic Shop: max. 1000 listings per international eBay site every month

  • Featured Shop: max. 2000 listings per international eBay site every month

  • Anchor Shop: max. 4000 listings per international eBay site every month

You will see additional listings in foreign languages in Seller Hub, where you can still manage all your sales activities.

If you decide to no longer take the advantage of this opportunity, you can stop the automated translation of your listings here

Please note that the deactivation might take a couple of days. Listings that have already been translated will be removed.
