Building for the future
July has been a busy month for sellers. From meeting you at events up and down the country, to the World Cup streams happening on eBay Live, it’s been great to see how you’ve all come together as a community.
From our first eBay Live Seller Meetup to the fifth and final eBay Business Roadshow of the year, all signs now lead to eBay Open this September. We’re looking forward to welcoming more than a thousand of you and continuing the momentum at our biggest seller event of the year.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who has already entered this year’s eBay for Business Awards. It’s been so inspiring to see the examples of growth, innovation and community impact.

The latest updates on eBay Live
Live selling continues to be one of the most exciting ways our seller community is growing. That’s why we’re continuing to invest in the platform, and introducing more ways to help you reach buyers through real-time selling.
During the World Cup, eBay Live has been the go-to place for sellers looking to get their sports memorabilia in front of a community of collectors. From trading cards to signed shirts, we’ve had some massive talent across streams, including football legends such as Sir Geoff Hurst, Patrick Vieira and Joe Cole – with even more to come! Check out our remaining World Cup events and register as an eBay Live seller to get involved in future moments.
We also introduced a competitive new eBay Live rate card on 1 July, giving you a clearer view of the fees associated with live selling. Greater transparency around costs means it’s easier to plan your livestreams and sell with confidence. If these changes affect you, we’ve already been in touch directly.
Honouring the refugee entrepreneurs in our community
Last month, we celebrated Refugee Week in partnership with The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN). Since launching the partnership, we’ve had the privilege of supporting over 100 inspiring refugees as they build their businesses on eBay.
To mark this year’s theme of ‘courage’, we chatted to some of our inspirational entrepreneurs about their stories. Watch the video to hear more.
Spending time with sellers across the UK
One of the best things about meeting sellers is hearing first-hand what’s working for your business, what’s changing in your category and where you see the biggest opportunities for growth.
Our first eBay Live Seller Meetup brought together sellers at every stage of their Live journeys, sharing ideas, experiences and practical tips. From building confidence on camera to creating more engaging buyer experiences, it was a great reminder of how much sellers can learn from one another.
We also wrapped this year’s eBay Business Roadshows with a final stop in Belfast. One theme stood out across every event – you’re always looking for new ways to work smarter and reach more buyers. It’s been inspiring to hear your stories and see the innovation happening across the community.
Now, we’re bringing everyone together for the biggest seller moment of the year: eBay Open 2026. Join us on Wednesday 16 September at the iconic National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for a day dedicated to helping you scale your business. Come along for hands-on workshops, category takeovers, opportunities to connect with our teams and practical insights you can apply straight away. How sellers are putting AI to work
At the Belfast Business Roadshow, we heard first-hand how sellers are using eBay AI Activate to save time and streamline their day-to-day business.
During our AI seller panel, Sam from the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity and Lindsay from Ojewellery shared practical examples of how they’re using AI tools – from streamlining customer communications to building a business case for eBay Live.
