eBay for Business Awards are back for 2026
Applications for this year’s awards are now open, giving eight inspirational small businesses the chance to win £10,000 in funding, 1:1 Marketplace Advisor support and a feature in your own Seller Stories video.
From community and social contribution, to live selling and AI innovation, we’re celebrating sellers making an extraordinary impact beyond sales alone. To enter, simply apply for the category that best reflects your business and share examples showing how you meet the criteria. We’ll announce our shortlist by 27 July, before giving the public a chance to vote for their favourites. Winners will then be invited to an exclusive event celebrating their incredible achievements.
Submit your application by Friday 3 July to be considered for one of this year’s awards. You can also get inspired by our past winners by watching the eBay for Business Awards 2025 video.

Sell trading cards with confidence
As the collectables hobby continues to boom, item verification can help you sell confidently. That’s why we’re rolling out our free Authenticity Guarantee service for eligible trading cards priced at £500 or above.
Now, eligible trading cards will be checked by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) at eBay’s authentication centre before being delivered to buyers. Importantly, there’s no change to the way you list – if a card qualifies, the Authenticity Guarantee tick will appear automatically. The service also applies to sales made on eBay Live, so you can sell stock and build confidence with a real-time audience.
Consumer trust is one of the foundations of selling high-value collectables, and Authenticity Guarantee offers your buyers complete reassurance. Explore how trading card verification works for you and your business.
Bringing the World Cup to eBay Live
As anticipation builds for the tournament of the year, eBay Live is giving sports sellers a powerful opportunity to showcase their inventory to an audience of enthusiasts.
eBay Live will be streaming from the heart of the action in the US throughout the tournament, capturing the excitement of the competition as it happens and connecting sellers with a community of fans and collectors. We’ll also be going live with special guests, including ex-players. With football fans tuning in throughout the event, it’s a chance to tap into increased demand and make the most of a major sporting moment that only happens once every four years.
Whether you’ve gone live before or are just getting started, this is a chance for every seller to reach new buyers. Apply to be part of eBay Live and join in the excitement around one of the biggest sporting events, and get ready to bring your products to life in real-time.

If you sell in any of these categories, this is your moment:
Sports Trading Cards:
Case breaks, Rip N Ships and singles (both graded and raw).
Sports Memorabilia:
Signed football merchandise, programmes, photos and prints.
Fashion (apparel):
Authentic international football shirts, streetwear, caps and more.
See what AI can do for your business
You’ve shared that some of the most useful advice comes from fellow sellers who understand the realities of running an eBay business. That’s why we’ve updated the eBay AI Activate Training Hub with even more seller-led training, tips and guidance on using AI throughout your selling journey.
Sam from Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is just one of the many sellers featured in the Training Hub, sharing how they’re using eBay AI Activate to help run their business. For Sam, the programme showed that eBay Live could open up new ways to connect with buyers and grow sales. Watch the video to find out more.
Join the free programme to access the Training Hub and hear from sellers like Sam who are already putting AI to use in their day-to-day business.

Celebrating entrepreneurs this Refugee Week
At eBay, we believe in creating economic opportunity for everyone. In honour of Refugee Week, we’re celebrating our work with The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN) and the refugee entrepreneurs who are building businesses, communities and creating new opportunities on eBay. Since launching the partnership in 2021, we’ve supported over 100 entrepreneurs across the UK, who have become an important part of our seller community.
We recognise the courage it takes to rebuild a life and start a business in a completely new environment. I’m incredibly proud of the community we continue to create together with TERN, and grateful to the entrepreneurs who have shared their stories with us.
Four Roadshows down, one to go
It’s been incredible meeting so many of you over the past few months. From London and Cardiff to Newcastle and Nottingham, each Roadshow has brought hundreds of you together to connect, grow and learn as a seller community.
We’d like to thank everyone who has joined our eBay AI Activate and eBay Live panels, sharing real use cases, examples and top tips for success. It’s been brilliant seeing how practical the sessions have become, evolving from standalone presentations into collaborative problem-solving conversations. This shift shows that we’re building something real together, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
If you missed our past events, you can come along to our final Roadshow on 17 June in Belfast. Register to secure a spot and get involved in the conversations.
Don’t forget, we also have Seller Meetups happening every month across the UK - see upcoming dates and register for an event here.

eBay Open returns this September
eBay Open UK is one of the highlights of the year for our seller community – bringing you together to share ideas, learn new skills and connect with the teams behind eBay.
I’m pleased to announce that this year, we’ll be heading to the NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 16 September for a full day of expert-led sessions and hands-on workshops designed to support your selling.
Alongside the main sessions, you’ll meet Marketplace Advisors, speak with eBay partners and connect with other sellers from across the community – with plenty of opportunities to get tailored advice and new ideas for your business.
To get a feel for what to expect, you can also look back at highlights from last year’s event and experience the energy, ideas and community that make eBay Open such a valuable experience.
I’m looking forward to welcoming many of you to Birmingham and hearing more about the brilliant businesses you’re building. If you’d like to join us, register as soon as possible as spaces are limited.
