In order to sell refurbished items under the four programme grades on eBay, sellers must qualify and meet a list of requirements. For example, all items must be fully functional, require a minimum 12 months seller guarantee, have free shipping and 30-day returns. Thirty-day returns must be free for the Certified Refurbished grade.

• Appearance: Pristine, like-new condition. No scratches, dents, cracks or signs of use. The Item may come in generic packaging with new or original accessories.
• Functionality: Fully functional. Must meet category specific functionality check requirements provided by eBay.
• Protection: Minimum one-year guarantee provided by the seller

Excellent - Refurbished

• Professionally inspected, cleaned, and refurbished by a qualified seller.
• Appearance: Looks like new at first glance. No to minimal signs of use such as micro body scratches. No dents and no visible screen scratches. The item may come in generic packaging with new or original accessories.
• Functionality: Fully functional. Must meet category specific functionality check requirements provided by eBay. 
• Protection: Minimum one-year guarantee provided by the seller.

Very Good - Refurbished

• Professionally inspected, cleaned, and refurbished by a qualified seller. 
• Appearance: Some signs of use such as light body scratches. The item may come in generic packaging with new or original accessories.
• Functionality: Fully functional. Must meet category specific functionality check requirements provided by eBay.
• Protection: Minimum one-year guarantee provided by the seller.

Good - Refurbished

• Professionally inspected, cleaned, and refurbished by a qualified seller.
• Appearance: Moderate signs of use such as small scratches or dents that do not affect functionality. The item may come in generic packaging with new or original accessories.
• Functionality: Fully functional. Must meet category specific functionality check requirements provided by eBay.
• Protection: Minimum one-year guarantee provided by the seller.
