Get free return labels with eBay Assured Fit

What you need to know

We recently launched the eBay Assured Fit programme to protect buyers and sellers from fitment issues and to help cover the cost of your returns when you sell vehicle parts and accessories.

The goal of the programme is to help you build trust with your buyers by giving them confidence that parts and accessories purchased on eBay will fit their vehicles as intended.

Just add fitment details to your listings and we’ll provide you with free return labels if there’s a fitment issue.*

How eBay Assured Fit works

  • A buyer searches for a part or accessory based on their vehicle details.
  • With eBay’s fitment feature, we check the vehicle details against item compatibility information in your listing to confirm the fit. When there’s a match, a green check mark appears on the listing.
  • If a buyer purchases a part or accessory from you and it doesn’t fit their vehicle, we’ll provide a free return label (exceptions apply*). We’ll also remove any open cases from service metrics, and any negative and neutral feedback related to the fit of the item.
  • If the part is compatible but the buyer wants to return it for a different reason (e.g. change of mind), the standard returns process applies.
