What to promote
We recommend that you promote listings that are high-quality, already perform well and/or are in-demand.
Optimising your listings for Best Match is a great place to start. High-quality listings generally benefit from better visibility, so are more likely to perform well when promoted.
When launching a campaign, you may see listings flagged as “Recommended”.
Recommended listings are those with the highest potential to benefit from being promoted, due to marketplace trends like buyer demand and the competition in the item's category.
If you’re new to Promoted Listings Standard, we recommend starting with these.
Dynamic ad rate
One of the options you’ll see when choosing how your ad rate is set, is the dynamic ad rate strategy.
This is perfect for helping you find an optimal balance between performance and cost, and works by automatically adjusting your ad rate to match eBay’s daily suggestions. These are calculated based on a variety of factors that may include item attributes, seasonality, past performance, and current competition for each of your listings.
If you're new to Promoted Listings Standard, using the dynamic ad rate is a great starting point. Don’t forget, you can always change and optimise your ad rates as you go.
Your Advertising dashboard in Seller Hub provides you with analytical data, graphs and reports about your campaigns.
