Offsite Ads (BETA)
What is Offsite Ads?
Offsite Ads helps you maximise the visibility of your listings by attracting interested buyers beyond eBay. It gives you the ability to further promote your listings on leading external channels, like Google, so you can capture a wider audience and help drive more traffic to your listings.
How does it work?
With Offsite Ads, you can promote your entire eligible inventory on external channels. Every time a buyer clicks on your ad, they’ll be directed to your listing and you’ll be charged a fee for the click.
- Exclusive placements: Unlock control of exclusive ad placements beyond eBay, such as on Google.

How does the cost-per-click (CPC) work?
Offsite Ads(BETA) uses a dynamic cost-per-click model, meaning eBay will automatically adjust each listing's cost-per-click on a daily basis. You’ll be charged for clicks on your ads up to your set budget.
How does eBay determine the cost-per-click (CPC) for my campaign?
eBay will automatically adjust each listing's cost-per-click on a daily basis by leveraging historical cost-per-click averages that eBay’s external ad partners have charged for your listing, or similar listings. You’ll be charged for clicks up to your set budget.
What does “average” daily budget mean?
When you choose a campaign start and end date and set your budget, we calculate your total monthly budget as the number of days multiplied by your average daily budget. When you choose to run a continuous campaign, we’ll calculate your total monthly budget as 30.4 multiplied by your average daily budget. Over the course of your campaign, you won’t be charged more than this total budget (excl. VAT) per calendar month.
We closely monitor the marketplace to identify fluctuations in demand for your products, so when we notice an increase in buyer interest, we may spend more than your average daily budget to help you capitalise on these opportunities. However, you can rest assured that your average over the course of your campaign won’t exceed your budget for each day. For example, if your average daily budget is £10 for a continuous campaign, you won’t be charged more than £304 per calendar month (30.4 multiplied by your average daily budget). Although, your daily spend may vary from £0 to £20, your monthly average won’t exceed a £10 per day spend.
If you end a campaign early, you may be charged up to 2 times your average daily budget on a daily basis. This is because the campaign may not have had the chance to average out the budget over time.
What happens if I change my daily budget?
If you make a change, your daily spending limit will be based on the highest average daily budget that you chose for that day. This means for most campaigns, you won’t ever be charged more than 2 times your highest average daily budget on that day. For example, if your daily budget is originally set to £15 but you change it to £10, you may still be charged up to £30 for that day because it uses the highest average daily budget on that particular day.
When you change your budget, your spend for the rest of the month won’t exceed your new average daily budget multiplied by the remaining days in the month.
After I launch my campaign, when will my ads be eligible to appear?
Once you launch your campaign, your ads will be eligible to appear within 48 hours.
When I make updates to my campaign, when will my edits take effect?
Any edits you make to your campaign will take effect by the next day.
Which listings are eligible for Offsite Ads(BETA) campaigns?
Currently, only fixed price listings are eligible for Offsite Ads(BETA) campaigns. Auction listings are not eligible at this time. Placement eligibility is subject to the external channels’ policies and requirements.
How will my Offsite Ads(BETA) campaign affect the visibility of my Promoted Listings Standard ads in external placements?
